Images are not loading in GTM preview

krvermeulen 2 weeks ago in Tag Manager • updated by Stéphane Hamel 2 weeks ago 3

The images that are used in GTM Preview no longer work. See attached screenshot. The link to the images gives a 404.

Example: https://www.davinci.tools/img/icons/ConversionLinker.png

In GTM, have the left menu sticky or follow scroll.

When in GTM, it would be nice not to have to scroll to the top to be able to click on the tags. It would be nice if that left menu was sticky or would follow during the scroll.

unable to deselect data range comparison in Google Analytics

Esben Rasmussen 1 month ago in Analytics • updated by Ken Schaefer 6 days ago 3

In google Analytics I had selected a data range comparison with a previous period. When I wanted to click the checkbox to deselect this date comparison I was now unable to do so. Clicking it resulted in the date selector "window" closing.

I tried setting the permissions for De Vinci Tools to only be allowed to run, when I click the plugin in Chrome. Then I reloaded the page and tried again (with Davinci Tools now disabled). This time it worked - I could remove the data range comparison in Google Analytics.

Data Studio: time period comparison in all chart types

Dan Grainger 1 month ago in Data Studio • updated by Stéphane Hamel 1 month ago 1

In Data Studio line charts you can easily select from a drop-down to produce a second line on your chart...e.g. vs last month, vs last year, etc. So it baffles me that this can't be done in, for example, bar charts to product a second set of columns for the comparison. Would be really useful to have this feature irrespective of the chart type.

How to use GTM Sort Settings?

krvermeulen 2 months ago in Tag Manager • updated by Stéphane Hamel 1 month ago 2
I expect that this function lets me sort custom dimensions, lookup tables and so on while editing but I don't see a button appearing to sort the variables. How do I use this? Thanks! Koen

The rule to add the sort button was too complex and resulted in the button not showing up in most cases... This is fixed in the next release.

tag manager preview incognito requires login

Ethan Bartolic 2 months ago in Tag Manager • updated 2 months ago 5

When I use the share preview link in an incognito window with da Vinci enabled in incognito I am required to log into my google account. At that point I have then logged into gtm again and must start a preview from within the incognito gtm session. Disabling da Vinci in incognito resolve this, so it is definitely Da Vinci, which I love to death and want to have active in incognito windows.

Found the problem! It was just a wrong check when handling the "Remember Me" feature. It will be fixed with the next release.

Restrain available dates in Data Studio date range filter

Dan Grainger 3 months ago in Data Studio • updated by Stéphane Hamel 2 months ago 1

Data Studio's date range filter brings up a full calendar of dates to choose from. However, sometimes a dashboard may contain data that only became available from date X when it was implemented, so it would be very useful to be able to stop users selecting dates prior to this....or a simpler alternative may be to black-out those dates visually if preventing selection is not possible

Slider Filter Option in Data Studio

info 3 months ago in Data Studio • updated by Stéphane Hamel 3 months ago 1

I would like to have the ability to have Slider filters in data studio. For example for displaying Prices.  Currently, my only option is checkboxes with price ranges.  You can see how I currently use price ranges at this site: https://www.bikechaos.com/Search

Adding new design elements to the DS interface is something very difficult to do - plus, there's a big chance that Google will bring this type of feature themselves in the future.

You can make the suggestion here: https://issuetracker.google.com/savedsearches/578413

Convert Lookup to Regex Lookup

Jake 3 months ago in Tag Manager • updated by Stéphane Hamel 3 months ago 1

I recently needed to upgrade a standard Lookup to Regex Lookup to handle some tricky matches. It's not possible to change a Lookup to Regex Lookup without losing all the data. The only way at the moment is to perform a slow copy and paste job from old to new. To be able to save the current inputs/outputs and move them to a Regex lookup would be brilliant.
